Description
Riyoo is a compact 2D platformer about a girl with a simple mission: gather every flower on the stage and make it to the exit door in one piece. Eight levels stand between her and the finish, and while the early ones are friendly, the game steadily adds sharper spikes, busier enemies, and jumps that demand real timing.
Movement uses either the WASD keys or the arrow keys, so you can pick whatever feels natural. Press W or the Up arrow to jump, and tap it a second time in mid-air for a double jump — the move you will lean on constantly. That extra hop is the difference between clearing a wide spike pit and restarting the level, so get comfortable with it early.
Each level is a small obstacle course. Flowers are scattered around platforms, often placed in spots that force you to stray from the safest path, and the exit door only matters once you have grabbed them. Enemies patrol set routes and spikes sit exactly where a careless landing would put you, so the challenge is less about speed and more about reading the layout before you commit to a jump.
Difficulty ramps up across the eight stages. The first couple of levels let you learn the double jump in peace, but later ones chain hazards together — an enemy above a spike strip, a flower hovering over a gap — and a single touch sends you back to try again. Patience pays off: watch an enemy's patrol for a cycle or two, then move. Save your second jump for corrections rather than spending it right away, since keeping it in reserve lets you recover from a bad launch.
Riyoo is a good fit for players who enjoy short, honest platformers in the classic style, and it is gentle enough for newcomers while still giving genre fans a few tense jumps near the end.
