Every picture in Draw the Rest is missing something, and spotting that absence is only half the job. The other half is sketching the missing piece yourself, turning a simple observation puzzle into a lighthearted drawing challenge where a single line can complete the scene.
Each level shows you a photo or illustration with an obvious gap: a dog without its tail, a bicycle without a wheel, a face without a smile. You examine the image, figure out what should be there, and draw it directly on the screen with your finger or mouse. The game reads your stroke and checks whether it fills the gap correctly. Get it right and you move on to the next puzzle; if the drawing misses the mark, you can simply try again with a better line.
The progression keeps things fresh by varying what counts as missing. Early levels are generous, asking for big, obvious shapes that almost any scribble can satisfy. Later puzzles demand more precision, with smaller details and less forgiving outlines, so your strokes need to actually resemble the intended object. If you get truly stuck, pressing the light button reveals the solution, which makes the hint system a safety net rather than a crutch you are punished for using.
A few habits make the game noticeably smoother. Before drawing, trace the missing shape with your eyes and note where it connects to the existing artwork, because the game usually checks both the shape and its position. Short, confident strokes tend to register better than hesitant scribbles. And when a level seems impossible, look again at the context of the scene; the missing piece is always something the picture logically needs, never a trick.
It is a great fit for casual players who like puzzles that reward observation more than speed, and it works just as well for kids as for adults. It turns a few spare minutes into a small creative exercise, one doodle at a time.
